Campus Financial Services
Effective July 1, 2026, Colorado State University will implement a new Finance organizational structure as part of the HR and Finance Alignment Initiative. The new structure aligns Finance professionals under a common Finance organization while preserving strong partnerships with colleges and divisions. This structure includes the Office of Budgets, Business & Financial Services, and a new Campus Financial Services, which is the newly formed collection of finance staff supporting CSU’s colleges and divisions.
On July 1, 2026, each college and division is shifting to a new provisional organizational structure. A provisional organizational structure defines the reporting lines, roles, and responsibilities that will take effect July 1, 2026, the start of FY27. Each structure will include a lead HR and lead Finance position and ensure HR-to-HR and FIN-to-FIN reporting. These organizational structures do not reflect the final future-state design. This step helps prepare the university for phased implementation of future-state elements. These are designed to provide stability during the transition and strengthen collaboration, consistency, and service delivery while creating a foundation for future-state organizational planning.
Updated as of 6/16/2026.
Senior Business Officers
As part of the transition to the provisional Finance organizational structure effective July 1, four Senior Business Officers (SBOs) have been selected to provide leadership and coordination across Finance portfolios during this interim period.
Senior Business Officers serve as portfolio leaders within the temporary provisional Finance structure. In addition to serving as the Business Officer for their home unit, SBOs will provide leadership, coordination, mentorship, and strategic support across a portfolio of colleges and divisions.
